Muthas Mylk

This was one of our most popular drinks at the shop - dairy free and is an excellent carrier for our powder supplements such as Macca, Protein Powder etc

• Almond and Macadamia Mylk

Take 3/4 cup of Organic Almonds that have been soaked for at least an hour and rinsed, and 1/4 cup of Organic Raw Macadamia Nuts

(current variation is a 1/3 cup each of almonds, maccas and cashews)

Blend in a Vitamix or high speed mixer with 3 cups of Filtered Water.

When blended put through a nut mylk bag (I use a hemp cloth bag I made from my pillowcase) and filter until all the liquid is through.

If you don't have a bag, use a fine mesh strainer and put it through twice - Its important to make sure the liquid is nut free as it's unpleasant to drink with bits floating in it - if you are unsure strain twice.

You can use the pulp for other dishes, love it for the base of a raw cookie for instance or put it in the compost.

• Add to the liquid Vanilla Powder

(be generous, you are worth it - at least a tablespoon)

• Honey to taste (I am a honey girl, you can use the sweetener of your choice)

• Raw Cacao - I like a lot, so 1/2 a cup - you do it to your liking.

Blend away and put in the fridge to chill.

Drink at your leisure, or add your powdered supplement and blend again.

You will LOVE it.
